Viroqua Chamber Board of Directors
The Viroqua Chamber is honored to have a Board of Directors made of the following dedicated community leaders:
Niki Steele – Board President
Niki Steele, a Viroqua native, decided to return to her hometown with her husband after attending Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and living for several years in Minnesota. She has now been here for over 25 years with her family, and loves being a part of the close and supportive community. Niki is the Employment Director at Aptiv, where she assists individuals with disabilities in finding meaningful work within the community. Niki enjoys the outdoors, and when not at work you can often find her camping, hiking, snowshoeing, or kayaking.
Trina Erickson – Board Vice President
Trina Erickson holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Luther College. After working for the United States Senate and a national nonprofit, she returned to her hometown of Viroqua as WVRQ radio station’s News Director. Trina later became the Library Director at McIntosh Memorial Library, working to make Viroqua the best it can be. Trina has served on the Board of Directors of multiple local organizations, and currently serves on the boards of the Viroqua Chamber, Vernon Economic Development Association, and the Wisconsin Association of Public Libraries, and is the President of the Board of Directors for Ridges & Rivers, Inc. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, antique shopping, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.
Michele Williams – Board Secretary
Michele Williams is the owner of Century 21 Real Estate in Viroqua and has spent years forming connections with many residents around the community, as well welcoming many new people to the area. She enjoys informing new people about all that our community has to offer and how they can get involved to support it. Michele is passionate about giving back to the community and bringing people together and serves her community in many ways. In addition to being the Viroqua Chamber Secretary, Michele is on the executive board with Driftless Wisconsin (a tourism council) and is involved with Vernon Women’s Alliance.
Aaron Aslin – Board Treasurer
Aaron Aslin, the Board Treasure for Viroqua Chamber, hails from the west coast but now lives in the Driftless region. Holding a B.A. in Business Administration from California State University Fullerton and completing Harvard University’s Essential Management Skills for Emerging Leaders program, he embarked on a marketing and management career in 2011. With 12 years of experience leading teams in various companies, including two dairy cooperatives, Aaron assumed the role of Chief Brand Officer at Wonderstate Coffee in June 2022. Dedicated to Viroqua, he joined the board to promote civic engagement, community development, and equitable economic opportunities. Aaron is married to Gil, a registered nurse at Vernon Memorial Hospital, and together they have two kids, two cats, and a beloved dog.
Lisa Berg – Board Member
Lisa Berg, originally from the La Crosse area, has made her home in Viroqua, where she has lived proudly for over 20 years. Lisa holds degrees from UW-La Crosse and Viterbo College, including a degree in Organizational Management. As the HR Manager at Nelson Global since 2020, Lisa values working for a company that has been a vital part of Viroqua since 1966. With a background spanning for-profit, non-profit, government, and private industry, she now channels her expertise and love for the area to support Viroqua’s businesses and community. Lisa loves many things about Viroqua including the diversity in retail, business, restaurants, people, and culture.
Ann Cade – Board Member
Ann Cade was born and raised in Viroqua. She attended Western Technical College and completed three of their programs. While completing her education she worked as a work-study student and part time for the college and has been employed at the college for 30 years. In addition to being a member of the Viroqua Chamber Board of Directors, Ann is involved in many committees at Western Technical College including the Live Well Committee, Academic Policy and Procedures, E-Campus Book Development, Western’s EOC, and the Student Services and Engagement Committee. Ann is excited to be bringing students back to the Viroqua Campus, as she believes in the power of education and its potential to contribute to the growth and prosperity of her hometown town.
Steve Campbell – Board Member
Steve Campbell, a Viroqua Chamber board member since 2018, holds a deep love for his hometown. After venturing to other areas of the country, he settled back in Viroqua, where he feels most at home. Here he is passionate about bridging the gap between lifelong residents and newcomers. Steve owns and operates two businesses in town, Campbell Family Homes (CFH) and Viroqua Variety, a retail store on Main Street. CFH provides residential services to individuals with Intellectual, Physical, and Developmental Disabilities. Steve takes pride in contributing to the community he adores. Beyond the Chamber, Steve serves on various committees and the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association. A father of two, Jordan and Kate, Steve likes to spend free time doing outdoor activities like golfing, hiking, and hunting.
Jonah Curley – Board Member
Jonah Curley, originally from Lancaster, WI, found his home in Viroqua in 2006, embracing the charms of small-town living. He enjoys the town’s parks, events, and outdoor recreation, often inviting friends to come experience Viroqua. Starting as a grocery stocker at the Viroqua Food Coop in 2007, Jonah’s journey led him to become Operations Manager, overseeing nearly 60 employees. His diverse experience with the local business provides a unique perspective on the Board. Jonah has served on the VEDA board and the Board of Appeals for the City of Viroqua. As a part of the Viroqua Chamber Board, Jonah aims to assist businesses’ growth, using his insights into workforce challenges.
David Hartberg – Board Member
David Hartberg is a native ‘Wisconsinite’, having grown up in Madison/Verona. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and St. Cloud State University, receiving a B.A. in Physical Education/Athletic Training, later attending the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, receiving a Master’s in Healthcare Administration. After a start in Sports Medicine and Corporate Compliance, David’s has spent the last 25 years as a Hospital CEO in the upper Midwest. In December 2019 he assumed the CEO position at Vernon Memorial Healthcare. He is married to Anne, and they have three adult kids in Des Moines, Madison and Brookfield, and a 8th grader Allison at VAMS, as well as three grandchildren.
Tracy Budworth – Board Member
Tracy holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Wisconsin Stout. She started her marketing career in 2011 as one of the first Social Media Specialists for a national dairy cooperative. From there, she spent over a decade surrounding herself with incredibly talented people where she developed a deep understanding of marketing activation, advertising as well as the ability to build and grow high performing teams.
Tracy is currently the Director of Marketing at Vernon Communications Cooperative where she gets to bring her skillset to help enrich our local communities. In her free time, you’re likely to find Tracy adventuring outside with her husband, Rob, and two boys.
