The former Teacher's College building is now a museum of Vernon County history, containing exhibits, archives, and library. Excellent genealogy services and research materials. Other buildings include the historic Sherry-Butt House at 795 N. Main, and the old St. Mary's Church and Foreaker School at 606 W. Broadway.
Description

We share Vernon County history with children, the elderly, and everyone in-between. Visitors come to the Vernon County History Center all year ‘round to enjoy a changing array of exhibits and also to do genealogy or local history research using our extensive archives. We provide a public program or event about once a month, often featuring a speaker with expert knowledge.
