Picture this: Giant puppets parading down Main Street, marching musicians, stilt walkers, fantastical costumes, music and food in the park, fire dancing at dusk!
After a 10-year run and a multi-year pause — the parade is BACK! We hope you’ll join us for the 11th Annual Viroqua Harvest Parade!!
2pm ~ Lineup
3pm ~ Parade down Main Street
3:30-9pm ~ Music and merriment at Eckhart Park
General Parade Route (the details are still being flushed out): From WDRT, north on Main Street, west on Court Street and into Eckhart Park.
After the parade, the fun continues with food vendors, live music and fire dancing at the park pavilion.
ANYONE/EVERYONE is welcome to simply show up and march down Main Street with the Viroqua Harvest Parade!
The only guidelines that we follow are: Harvest themed (more or less), People-powered (no cars or trailer floats), Handmade (recycled materials encouraged)and No logos or politics (it’s all about community and art without the promotion of any groups).
(It’s not too late to gather up some friends, get to work in your own basements or garages and show up at 2pm on parade day for lineup!)
Of course, there are always plenty of extra costumes, available at our studio as well.
