English Lutheran Church will host a community blood drive with Versiti on Friday, February 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the English Lutheran Church fellowship hall at 741 N. East Ave, Viroqua. With many recent blood drives canceled due to inclement winter weather amid already declining donor numbers, the national blood shortage continues to be a concern. Anyone 17 or older who is in good health and meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. Appointments are preferred to ensure a quick and convenient donation, but walk-in donors are also welcome. Appointments can be made at versiti.org/wi. Following their blood donation, donors will be able to enjoy a hot meal of BBQ sandwiches, chips, and dessert, along with the traditional blood drive snacks.
