November 10, 2024 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
$15.00
It will soon be time again for the Vernon County Historical Society’s annual banquet, when volunteers are specially honored. Everyone is welcome to attend. This year’s dinner will be held on Sunday, November 10, beginning at 12:30PM. The event will take place in the dining hall of the historic Viroqua United Methodist Church building at 221 S. Center Ave. in Viroqua.
The guest speaker for the afternoon will be Thor Thorson of Viroqua, on the topic of “Veterans and Volunteers”, appropriate for a volunteer dinner held the day before Veterans Day. A special award will be given to the Vernon County Historical Society’s 2024 Volunteer of the Year, Gail Frie. Gail has done a lot of work for the VCHS over the years, particularly in the area of maintenance.
The dinner menu that afternoon will feature pulled pork sandwiches, cheesy potatoes, barbecued beans, macaroni salad, dessert, and coffee and water. The meal will be catered by Kickapoo Corners of Readstown.
Come help us thank Gail and all of our wonderful volunteers on November 10. The cost for this event is $15 per person. Reservations are required – please contact the Vernon County History Center at 608-637-7396, or [email protected], to make a reservation. Please respond before 3PM on Tuesday, November 5.
