Valley Stewardship Network 25th Anniversary Celebration!

October 11, 2025 @ 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Free

We invite everyone to come celebrate 25 years of conservation and water quality protection with Valley Stewardship Network at the Historic Temple Theatre on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in Viroqua, WI, from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. We welcome everyone to join us in celebrating Aldo Leopold – Wisconsin’s most celebrated conservationist – and our Driftless Region as seen through the eyes of a writer. We are looking forward to sharing our joy in working in this beautiful environment with our community!
The event will begin with refreshments followed by author Tamara Dean presenting her new book “Shelter and Storm: At Home in the Driftless.” We’ll then show “Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time.” The film follows Aldo Leopold’s journey from forester to influential conservation visionary. Through restoration work at his Wisconsin farm and writing “A Sand County Almanac,” Leopold developed his revolutionary “land ethic.” Today, his impact is felt in conservation efforts worldwide. The film challenges us to consider our own relationship with the land.
There will be a brief member meeting to vote on our new Board.
The event is free. Free-will donations are welcome.
