Herbs for Winter Health, with Linda Conroy
October 26 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Whether you are new to working with herbs or looking to increase your ability to work with plants, this class will provide you with the knowledge you need to incorporate herbs that can promote winter health and address common ailments. Everyone will learn about and make a wide variety of herbal remedies to add to the apothecary. Some of the remedies we will make and cover include an herbal throat spray, elderberry oxymel syrup, herbal tincture, herbal lozenges, sinus steam blends, infused honey, remedies for the skin (salves, lotions and infused oils) and much more. We will also make and taste a variety of herbal tea and infusions that can be easily made at home. How to prepare each herb for optimal benefit will be covered and participants will leave with an extensive handout with recipes and lists of herbs that are ideal to have on hand for winter health.
