Gray Wolves of Wisconsin

May 29 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Free

The gray wolf has a fascinating history in Wisconsin, from extirpation by the mid-1900s to population recovery and expansion over the past 40 years. Scott Walter will demystify wolves by discussing what we know about their history in Wisconsin, and address contemporary biological, social and policy issues relevant to their future here.
About Scott: Wisconsin native Scott Walter served for 3 years as the large carnivore specialist for the Wisconsin DNR, and currently works as the Ecological Monitoring Coordinator for VSN. He holds a doctorate in wildlife ecology from UW-Madison, and lives on a seven-generation family farm in Richland County
