In this workshop, organic growers, Joy Miller and Rufus Haucke will lead a hands-on learning experience for aspiring flower farmers. We will cover annual and perennial production, garden bed preparation and layout, variety selection, crop planning, succession planting, seed starting, companion planting, pest and weed management, harvest methods and timing, and post-harvest care. We will also go into a more detailed study of several successful flower crops on the farm.
