Family & Children’s Center (FCC) is thrilled to announce the return of FCC + Partners in Wellness Fair on Thursday, June 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Eckhart Park in Viroqua.

This free, family friendly event features games, activities, live music, and food alongside demos and displays from various health and wellness organizations. It’s an incredible opportunity for the community to come together for a night of fun while also learning about the many local services that support their well-being.

FCC has partnered with Lead Event Sponsors: Organic Valley, Vernon Memorial Healthcare, Viroqua Area Foundation, and Viroqua Dental Center to support two vital programs at FCC’s Viroqua Office – The Other Door and the Domestic Abuse Project.

Both The Other Door and the Domestic Abuse Project provide safety and support to the most vulnerable in our community. The Other Door welcomes those on the path to recovery from addiction and mental illness. Through various support groups, healthy activities, and community meals, those who walk through The Other Door find the tools to make positive changes to their lives. Likewise, the Domestic Abuse Project helps survivors of domestic violence make a change for the better. Working with an advocate, they create a safety plan, learn options for legal action, and connect with resources to help them obtain their basic needs and regain control of their life. Guiding those in need to a path of self-sufficiency leads to stronger community members, which in turn leads to a stronger community.
