Come participate in our adult program at 6:00 pm. We’ll use the EnviroScape Ecological Restoration model to communicate how water interacts with our local landscape! After applying “pollutants” to the model, participants will make it rain on the model and observe how water moves throughout the watershed and what happens to items the water carries with it. Then, participants will construct solutions to problems, such as wetlands, prairie strips, and dry dams, and make it rain again to see how we can the modifications made can help safeguard our environment and water from pollutants.
Our Executive Director Beth Summers will lead the demonstration and discuss solutions that we can all implement in our own watershed. Questions are welcome.
Our program is in partnership with the McIntosh Memorial Library in Viroqua. The event takes place at the library at 205 S.
