“Bald Eagle Monitoring and Status in Wisconsin” – Conservation on Tap

WDNR Wildlife Biologist Daniel Goltz will discuss DNR eagle surveys, eagle health issues, and contaminant monitoring via the Wisconsin Bald Eagle Bio-Sentinel Program. He will also present eaglet development in the nest, prey items, and nest tree characteristics.

Daniel Goltz grew up in central Wisconsin and has always been interested in wildlife and raptors in particular. After college at UW – Green Bay, he worked in Hawaii for ten years and then moved to Viroqua. He has worked as a Wildlife Biologist for the WDNR since 2008.

The Conservation on Tap presentation a FREE presentation series by experts on various aspects of Driftless area ecology and conservation. The goal of the series is to increase knowledge, connection to, and awareness of current conservation efforts and research.
